5 Things You Should NEVER DO When Learning Tre Flips by SKATE HACKS is a skateboarding tutorial for the Tre Flip. SKATE HACKS covers the 5 most common tre flip mistakes, framing each as something to avoid: leaning forward too much, feet ending up too close together after the scoop, back foot flat on the board, back foot not in the scooping position, and over-focusing on the kickflip.
What this video teaches
SKATE HACKS covers the 5 most common tre flip mistakes, framing each as something to avoid: leaning forward too much, feet ending up too close together after the scoop, back foot flat on the board, back foot not in the scooping position, and over-focusing on the kickflip. Each mistake is shown visually and corrected with a specific fix.
Key tips
1Do not lean forward: balance weight evenly or lean slightly back so the board flips under or in front of you, not behind
2After the scoop, do not let the back foot follow all the way up toward the front foot: return it to its normal position to avoid feet crowding together
3Back foot must be on the toes with pressure on the toe edge, not flat on the board like a kickflip stance
4Back foot must be in the scooping position with toes hanging off the toe-side edge: without it the board will not complete the full 360 rotation
5Do not over-focus on the kickflip: the front foot just needs to be there for the catch, not aggressively flicked
6Pressure on the toes of the back foot creates the scoop pressure point and drives both the rotation and the flip
7If the board flips behind you rather than in front, you are leaning too far forward
8The front foot with minimal motion can still complete a full rotation as long as the back foot scoop is correct
