advanced // slides
The tail of the board locks onto the top of a ledge while the deck points away at roughly 45–90°. You slide along on the tail plate.
The Bluntslide is an advanced Slides trick. Most skaters land their first one within 3-8 months of consistent practice.
Spec
Your progress
Approach parallel to the obstacle from the frontside. You'll swing the nose away as you lock in.
Ollie and rotate slightly so the tail lands on the ledge and the nose swings away toward your heels.
Land the tail plate onto the top of the ledge.
Momentum carries the tail along the ledge. Keep weight over the tail plate.
At the end, pivot the nose back and ride away, or pop a small ollie off the tail.
