Cab

Also known as Caballerial, Full Cab

A fakie 360° frontside rotation — riding fakie, you perform a full frontside 360° and land riding regular. Named after Steve Caballero.

The Cab is an advanced Flatground trick. Most skaters land their first one within 3-9 months of consistent practice.

Fakie stance

Rotates easier — the pivot is front-centered, so it comes around faster.

  • Flips and shuvs spin around quicker than regular — ease off the scoop and flick.
  • You're rolling backward, so commit to staying centered as the board comes back under you.

    Roll fakie with speed

    You need more speed than a frontside 180 fakie — the full 360 takes more time.

    Wind up and pop

    Coil your shoulders toward your toe side, then unwind frontside aggressively as you pop.

    Commit through the blind spot

    At 180° you'll be blind — you've passed the point where you can see your landing. Commit through.

Common mistakes

Crooked landing

What
You complete 360° but land at an angle.
Why
Body and board aren't aligned through the rotation.
Fix
Keep your shoulders square to your feet throughout the spin.

Aborting at 180°

What
The rotation stops at 180° and you land fakie.
Why
Not committing through the blind spot.
Fix
Practice 270° rotations — just past the blind spot — to build commitment.

Why this works

The mechanics behind the trick

Board
The Cab is essentially a fakie ollie with a full 360° frontside body rotation. The board follows the body's spin.
Feet
Pop from the tail (effective tail in fakie direction), then guide the board through the full 360° using shoulders and hips.
Weight
Staying over the board through a full 360° rotation requires consistent centered weight and a committed spin.
